Tour Details for Bagni Glacier Kanari khal Lampak Base camp trek ::---->>
Day 1: Arrive - Delhi:
Met upon arrival at Delhi International Airport and transfer to the hotel for
overnight stay.
Day 2: Delhi - Rishikesh:
Transfer to Rishikesh (225 km) via Haridwar. Rishikesh is known as 'Gateway to
Himalayas' and center of Yoga & Meditation. In the afternoon visit various
Ashrams and Temples. Enjoy the 'Ganga Aarti' in the evening. Overnight stay in
hotel.
Day 3: Rishikesh - Joshimath:
Drive to Joshimath (290 km), winter abode of Lord Badrinath and seat of Adi
Sankarachrya. On arrival check-into hotel for overnight stay.
Day 4: Joshimath:
Day for obtaining inner line permit and other official work. Afternoon visit
Auli Ski Resort. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Joshimath - Jumma - Dronagiri:
Drive 47 km to Jumma, the road head for the trek. Start first day trek to
Dronagiri village via Ruing and Chiyacha (5-6 hrs). Set up the camp for the
overnight stay.
Day 6: Dronagiri village - Bagni Bamak:
Trek 5-6 hrs to Base Camp via Dronagiri Kol and Dronagiri Gad. Set up the camp
for the overnight stay.
Day 7: Bagni Base Camp:
Day free to explore the area. This is the base for climbing many mountains in
region like Kalanka, Changabang etc. Overnight stay in in tents.
Day 8: Bagini Base - Dronagiri Village:
Trek 4-5 hrs to Dronagiri village via Dronagiri Gad and Dronagiri Kol. Arrive
and set up the camp for the overnight stay.
Day 9: Dronagiri - Kanarikhal - Garpak:
Trek 4-5 hrs up to Garpak village via Kanari Khal pass. Set up the camp for the
overnight stay.
Day 10: Garpak - Kalla Khal Base:
Trek 4-5 hrs to Kalla Khal base. Overnight stay in the camp.
Day 11: Kalla Khal Base - Malari:
Trek to Malari 6-7 hrs a beautiful village in the Niti Valley. Set up the camp
for the overnight stay.
Day 12: Malari - Joshimath:
Drive 65 kms to Joshimath via Jumma, Lata, Rini and Tapovan. Upon arrival
checkin the Hotel for the overnight stay.
Day 13: Joshimath - Almora:
Drive 143 km to Almora. On arrival, check-into hotel for overnight stay.
Day 14: Almora:
At your leisure for the day.
Day 15: Almora - Delhi:
Drive 85 km to Kathgodam. Board the over night train for Delhi. Enroute stop at
Haridwar to visit Har-Ki-Pauri Ghat. Continue driving to Delhi and on arrival
check-into hotel for overnight stay.
Day 16: Depart Delhi :
Arrive Delhi in the morning and Ch-in to hotel. Optional sightseeing of Delhi.
Later departure transfer to international airport to board flight for onward
destination.

From Delhi drive to Rishikesh (230 kilometers from Delhi). Have a city tour of
Rishikesh in the afternoon. In the hotel have an overnight stay.
Day 3: Rishikesh – Joshimath
Drive to Joshimath which lies at a distance of 253 kilometers. Stay for a night
at the hotel.
Day 4: Joshimath
This day is reserved for collecting inner permit and completing official works.
Visit Auli Ski Resort in the afternoon. Have an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5: Joshimath - Jumma- Dronagiri village
Drive to Jumma lying at a distance of 47 kilometers from Joshimath. Trek for 5-6
hours to Dronagiri village; reach this place via Ruing and Chiyacha. Set up your
camp for an overnight stay.
Day 6: Dronagiri village-Bagni Bamak Base Camp
Trek to the base camp via Dronagiri Gad and Dronagiri Kol within 5 to 6 hours.
Have an overnight stay at the camp.
Day 7: Bagni Base Camp
Explore the areas for the entire day and spend a night in the tent.
Day 8: Bagini Base-Dronagiri Village
For about 4-5 hours trek to Dronagiri village via Dronagiri Gad and Dronagiri
Kol. Spend a night at the camp.
Day 9: Dronagiri-Kanarikhal- Garpak
Via Kanari Khal pass trek up to Garpak village within 4-5 hours. Camp and spend
a night.
Day 10: Garpak-Kalla Khal Base Trek to Kalla Khal base for 4-5 hours and have an
overnight stay at the camp.
Day 11: Kalla Khal Base – Malari
Within 6-7 hours trek to Malari, a beautiful village in Niti Valley. Have an
overnight stay at the camp.
Day 12: Malari-Joshimath
Travel a distance of 65 kilometers from Malari to Joshimath via Jumma, Lata,
Rini and Tapovan. Check in the hotel at Joshimath and spend a night.
Day 13: Joshimath – Rishikesh
Drive back to Rishikesh lying at a distance of 253 kilometers. Have an overnight
stay at the hotel.
Day 14: Rishikesh-Delhi-Out
Drive back to Delhi and board an evening flight to travel to your destination.

2. Tag: Mit dem Zug von Delhi nach Haridwar und weiter nach Rishikesh
Wir fahren heute früh mit dem Schnellzug nach Haridwar und besuchen noch das
Zentrum dieses in ganz Indien bekannten Pilgerortes, bevor wir mit dem Auto nach
Rishikesh fahren, das wir nach einer halben Stunde Fahrt erreicht haben werden.
Beide Orte liegen am Ganges und der Besucher wird zum ersten Mal den
hinduistischen Pilgern aus ganz Indien begegnen können.

3. Tag: Fahrt von Rishikesh nach Joshimath (~ 2100 m)
Auf der Fahrt nach Joshimath folgen wir dem Ganges flussaufwärts bis Deoprayag,
wo der Bhagirathi auf den Alaknanda trifft. Unser Weg führt von da an entlang
des Alaknanda. Bis wir in Joshimath sind, werden wir noch die alte Hauptstadt
von Garhwal – Srinagar – und zahlreiche andere kleinere Orte hinter uns gelassen
haben.

4. Tag: Fahrt nach Badrinath (~3100 m)
Nach dem Frühstück und einem kurzen Besuchsprogramm fahren wir zum bekanntesten
hinduistischen Pilgerort im Himalaya - Badrinath. Wir besuchen zu Fuß von
Badrinath aus das Bhotia – Dorf Mana.

5. Tag: Fahrt von Badrinath nach Auli (~ 2600 m)
Wir fahren heute zurück nach Joshimath und von dort mit der Seilbahn weiter in
den Skiort Auli. Die Lage ist einfach umwerfend schön.

6. Tag: Von Auli (~2600m) nach Gorson ( ~ 3200 m) und zurück
Der Weg zum heutigen Übernachtungsplatz bei Tali verläüft durch überwiegend
offenes Wiesengelände. Die ausladenden Almwiesen bei Gorson erlauben eine
traumhafte Sicht auf die Bergriesen der Umgebung. Später führt der schmale Weg
entlang einer steilen Bergflanke zum Übernachtungsplatz.

7. Tag: Fahrt nach Gamsali (~3300 m)
Die Fahrt auf dem Schotterweg nach Gamsali ist äußerst kurzweilig. Immer wieder
zeigen sich schneebedeckte Gipfel und wir kommen an kleine Bhotia- Dörfer vorbei.
In Gamsali, wie auch in anderen Bhotia-Dörfern des oberen Nititales zeugen auch
die schönen Holzarbeiten der Fenster, Türen und der Veranda der Häuser von dem
einstigen Reichtum ihrer Bewohner, die als Händler in Tibet und Uttarakhand
aktiv waren. Von Gamsali aus führt auch eine schwierigere Trekkingroute über
einen Gletscher in das „Valley of Flowers“.

8. Tag: Nach Niti und zurück
Wir wandern in das letzte Dorf vor der tibetischen Grenze, das etwa 4 km von
Gamsali entfernt liegt. Hier ist der Vegetationsübergang auch deutlich zu sehen,
und die Auswirkungen des Klimas im so nahen Tibet sind auch daran zu beobachten,
dass es hier während des Monsun viel weniger Niederschläge gibt als z.B. in
Joshimath. Das obere Nitital liegt im Regenschatten der südlicher gelegenen
Bergketten. Wir besuchen auch noch das unmittelbar bei Gamsali gelegene Dorf
Bampa. Von hier stammt auch die erste indische Frau, die den Mount Everest
bestiegen hat.

9.Tag: Von Gamsali nach Malari und zum Kalla Khal Camp (~3700 m)
Am Anfang noch auf dem Schotterweg, dann aber auf dem alten Pfad wandern wir
talwärts nach Malari und steigen noch hoch zum Kalla Khal Camp. In Malari wurden
vor Jahren prähistorische Begräbnisstätten gefunden, die auf 1000 vor Christus
datiert werden.

10. Tag: Vom Kalla Khal Camp zum Lampak Camp (~3900 m)
Der Pfad verliert sich in der Grasflanke des Khalla Khal (~4500 m) und oben auf
dem Kamm angekommen werden wir bei guter Sicht das erste schöne Bergpanorama
haben. Wir folgen dem Kamm und steigen auf einem schmalen Pfad den steilen Hang
bergab. Später verliert sich der Pfad etwas im leichten Geröll. Auf einer
ausladenden Wiese nach einer Bachüberquerung schlagen wir unsere Zelte auf.
Kletterer, die den Lampak besteigen wollen, machen hier einen Halt auf dem Weg
zum Basecamp.

11. Tag: Vom Lampak Camp über Kanari Khal (~4150 m) zum Dunagiri Camp (~ 3800 m)
Auf der heutigen Tagesetappe haben wir auf dem Kanari Khal eine fantastische
Aussicht, wenn das Wetter es will: Tirsuli, Hardeol, Changabang, Kalanka,
Dunagiri....
Der Abstieg hinunter zum Talgrund erfordert Trittsicherheit, da sich der Pfad
auf dem Grashang verliert.

12. Tag: Vom Dunagiri Camp zum Changabang Base Camp (~4400 m)
Anders als gestern ist der Pfad heute gut und wir steigen weiterhin auf der
linken Talseite bleibend hoch und am Rand der Gletschermoräne auf einer weit
ausladenden Wiese befindet sich das Basecamp der Bergsteiger, die den Changabang,
Kalanka oder andere Gipfel in der Nähe besteigen wollen.

13. Tag: Wanderung zu Aussichtspunkt und Erholungstag
Außer der Wanderung zu einem Aussichtspunkt steht der Rest des Tages zur freien
Verfügung. Vom Aussichtspunkt aus hat man freie Sicht auf die komplette Nordwand
des Changabang und Kalanka – die Nordwand des Changabang zählt zu den härtesten
und schwierigsten Routen des Himalaya.

14. Tag: Vom Changabang Base Camp ins Dorf Dunagiri (~3600 m)
Heute wandern wir in das Dorf Dunagiri, wo wir auch übernachten werden. Am
Nachmittag machen wir einen Dorfbesuch.

15. Tag: Von Dunagiri zum Nandikund (~ 4600 m) und zurück (Möglichkeit einen
Aussichtsberg zu besteigen)
Die Wanderung hoch zum Nandikund – See und zurück, wie einer eventuellen
Besteigung eines über 5000 m hohen Gipfels stellen sicherlich die größte
konditionelle Herausforderung an die Teilnehmer. Aber wie schon zuvor lohnen der
Ausblick und die Atmosphäre. Für die Einheimischen ist der See heilig und von
diesen würde niemand am See übernachten.
(Wenn der weiterführende Weg in einem nicht so schlechten Zustand wäre, könnte
man von hier weiter hinunter nach Tarak, dann zum gleichnamigen Tarak Khal
aufsteigen und nach diesem hinunter ins Dorf Tolma wandern. Vielleicht wird sich
dies ja auch bald ändern und so würden wir auch diesen Weg einschlagen.)

16. Tag: Von Dunagiri zum Dhauli Ganges Fluss und Fahrt nach Joshimath (~2100 m)
Die Etappe hinunter zur Brücke über den Dhauli Ganga steht im Gegensatz zu den
letzten Tagen. Hier in den Wäldern des Nititales leben zahlreiche wilde Tiere
darunter auch Bären und Leoparden. Nur selten lassen sie sich sehen, aber beim
Wandern entdeckt man vielerorts Spuren.
Die Fahrt nach Lata bildet den Abschluss des heutigen Tages.

17. Tag: Fahrt nach Rishikesh
Es geht auf dem gleichen Weg wieder zurück nach Rishikesh.

Vía paso Kanari Khal senderismo a la aldea de Garpak dentro de 4-5 horas.
